Curt Truninger - Director

Born in Switzerland and educated in Germany, Curt Truninger went to University in Great Britain, where he received a Ph.D. in Political Science.

Following his passion for film Curt then worked as a film and art critic.

After a two-year internship with Swiss Television he primarily worked in Germany for the Broadcasters ARD and ZDF where he did numerous docudramas and documentaries.

His independent commercial productions include a documentary on photographer Richard Avedon as well as music videos.

In 1995 Curt directed and co-wrote (with Margrit Ritzmann) his first feature film, the romantic comedy Waiting for Michelangelo.

Dead By Monday is his second feature film.

Currently, Curt is in development on several projects. He is adapting a romantic drama set in France and Japan as well as developing a romantic comedy.



Margrit Ritzmann - Producer

Producing her second feature film Dead By Monday as well as developing two other features and a TV series, Margrit Ritzmann has made a switch from her earlier career as a well known psychoanalyst with private practice in Zürich.

Before starting her Zürich and Toronto based production company, Snow Line Pictures in 1993, with partners Mark Wintsch, an investment banker and director Curt Truninger, she was also a freelance journalist and writer. Having interviewed personalities ranging from Richard Avedon to Patricia Highsmith. She then started screenwriting with several European directors.

She co-wrote her first feature film Waiting for Michelangelo with director Curt Truninger.

Ritzmann just finished producing the dark romantic comedy Dead by Monday and is in advanced development on the drama Chickens Don't have Fur and a comedy.



Myra Fried - Writer

Myra Fried hails from Montreal. After working as a chambermaid in Austria, receiving her B.F.A., dropping out of grad school, becoming a travel agent, an English/German U.N. tour guide, an adult book store cashier, a gorilla-suit clad singing telegram messenger, the lead singer-songwriter in a rock band, a puppeteer for Jim Henson, and an actor, she co-produced and co-directed her first feature screenplay, Hurt Penguins, then, in addition to film, started writing for television. Sometimes -- usually in the middle of a tenth draft rewrite -- she thinks maybe the chambermaid job wasn't such a bad gig.



Martin Fuhrer - Director of Photography

London-based Swiss Director of Photography, Martin Fuhrer, worked on roughly a dozen feature films and an equal number of Television dramas.

For the HBO movie The Last of His Tribe, Martin Fuhrer won the 'Cable Ace Award for Best Cinematography'.

He was the Director of Photography on John Schlesinger's Sweeney Todd and worked on Brian Gilbert's Wilde and Tom and Viv.

In summer 2000 he finished the New Line/Fine Line production the Sleeping Dictionary with Brenda Blethyn and Bob Hoskins.



Ronald Sanders - Editor

Ron Sanders has edited dozens of feature films and television movies and is best known for his work as editor for David Cronenberg.

He has won the Genie-Award twice, last year for editing Cronenberg's Existenz.



Mark Suozzo - Composer

New York composer Mark Suozzo's music has been heard in feature films, documentaries, television, commercials and recordings.

As a feature composer he is best known for scoring Whit Stillman's films, Metropolitan, Barcelona and The Last Days of Disco.

The memorable score for Barcelona, in particular, haunted director Curt Truninger, who just had to have Mark Suozzo score Dead by Monday.
